We often take for granted the ability to see a doctor and get treatment whenever we get sick. However, for about 1.2 billion people in the world (according to the World Health Organization statistics), access to basic medical treatment is not even an option. Millions of people are trapped and tortured by diseases due to poverty; many even die from diseases that can be easily cured.

Medical Volunteers International (MVI) is a volunteer organization that works to provide medical aid to third world countries with few resources. It is non-profit, non-religious, and non-affiliated with any political group. It is for all Chinese physicians, however we also welcome physicians of other ethnicities in the world to join, collectively promote, and develop international medical volunteering.
