NEW HAVEN, Conn. (4/14/2018)—The president of Medical Volunteers International (MVI), Dr. Steven Shu attended the Global Health and Innovation Conference at Yale University organized by the Unite for Sight, a non-profit organization that specializes in health care delivery to communities around the world.
The Global Health and Innovation Conference is a leading global health conference and social entrepreneurship conference, with 2,200 professionals and students from all 50 states and more than 55 countries participating. It includes 300 speakers in the environment health, energy, food and agriculture sectors; education and school-based program sectors; and health policy and advocacy sectors, among others.
Dr. Shu met many physicians who devote themselves to international medical missions and shared their mission experience together. He is particularly interested in the model of Surgical Mobile Unit presented by Dr. Edgar Rodas during the conference.
MVI is a non-profit and non-religious medcial volunteering group that provides the medical services in Haiti, Cambodia, and Senegal.
