Medical Volunteers International (MVI) is a medical volunteering organization initiated and created by Chinese American physicians in the United States in 2017. It is non-profit, non-religious, and non-affiliated with any political group. It is for all Chinese American physicians, however we also welcome physicians of other ethnicities in the world to join, collectively promote, and develop international medical volunteering.
MVI’s aim is to provide Chinese American physicians and physicians of other ethnicities with useful information about international medical volunteering, and to build a platform for volunteers exchanging and sharing personal mission experiences. MVI currently focuses on the medical mission in Haiti and Cambodia, and it has carried out a total of 7 medical mission trips, including 5 in Haiti and 2 in Cambodia.
