Mission Activities – Senegal

MVI cooperate with Dr. Xu Jun’s original West African project to carry out the Senegal Medical Program, and doctors with a medical license are welcome to attend.

•The professional medical practitioners most in need are internal medicine, family doctors, pediatrics, gynecology, dentists, and various surgical specialties. The Cambodia projects have a fundamental need for surgeons.

• Doctors must bring their own basic medical equipment. Gynecologists and surgeons must bring their own equipment, supplies, surgical devices and drugs.

• Cost: $ 2600 per participant: $ 1600 per person for flight, room and boarding, and the money can be donated to MVI first, and MVI will issue a receipt for tax deduction approved by the US government. MVI arranges air tickets, room and boarding. We recommend each participating doctors that are to donate additional $1000 for the initial purchase of drugs, transportation and other expenses. Any remaining donated funds will be combined with the existing MVI funds. At the same time, MVI provides part of the funds for some drugs for local doctors, nurses and other members to spend.

• All physicians must receive vaccinations that follow US CDC guidelines.

• It takes about 9 days to 14 days, leave for Senegal at any time between the middle of March to the end of March.

• We have a hospital in Dhaka, the capital of Senegal, and the leprosy village in the distant Kentucky province. The doctors can choose to work in Dhaka or go to the leprosy village outside the village of 700 kilometers. It takes 16 hours in the road.

• We can go together from New York. If you start from China, you have to purchase your tickets, we are responsible for pick up. Visa is not required if US passport , and so is Chinese passport s (need to verify).
